U.S. newspaper reported WSJ, that Apple lost the petition to allow them to use the brand name "iPhone" in Mexico, and this issue existed for some time and it seems that not have an impact on sales on Balaifun in Mexico.
Where when providing Apple to record trade name "iPhone" in Mexico, the authority to reject the request because the name is already registered and, therefore, made Apple a petition to cancel the trade name "Ifone" of the Mexican company for not using it, the court found the federal Mexican that name registered since 2003, and the company behind the name was being used effectively, and build on that petition was rejected Apple to use the brand name.
The company's lawyer Ifone they actually applied to claim compensation for damage caused to them by the use of Apple and three Mexican telecom company name.
